Heck the crew didn't say a single word when we crossed thru the magic Skalle skull let alone enter bright blue triangle ocean at the end. And the crew almost never seems to chime in about certain landmarks often. Well except for the whole constant repeating of text.

While I'm a little frustrated/irritated about the whole endgame deal I still love the game and have enjoyed it alot. I was using the Tier 3 Beluga, just purchased it before searching for Skalle because I missed my Manta which I used basically for the entire game until the Tier 3 Dweller ship. Kinda just ruined the entire endgame experience. I don't know why it sends me further back because it should have saved at the home base or the Crevasse town since I stopped there to top off on air. Now I restarted the game to find out my last savepoint was before the trip to home base and im entirely out of supplies and have to backtrack all the way back and redo everything again and hope to god it doesnt bug out. On the second pass of Skalle I noticed he had 4 legs(On the first pass he didnt have them(?) and was utterly confused and just presumed the entire endgame had bugged out. Once I got to the point and saw Skalle I noticed the body was sorta moving but the rest of him was entirely static so I just kept going in the current eventually it turned bright blue and nothing was happening at all. I noticed the triangle shield looking things but couldnt get to the first ones I saw so I jumped into the current because I figured it was there to progress. Now with that out of the way I got thru on the fourth time without somehow being ejected from the area to have my screen turn bright white and be sent into this triangle inhabited place.Īt this point I had no idea what the devil was going on. Did this three times over and also had to backtrack to home base twice to get additional food and scrap/torpedoes. The first time that happened I went back thru the skull as I had plenty of supplies and could grab air from the drones except I found absolutely everything respawned immediately. The frustration was not due to area or the enemies but rather the fact that three different times I somehow clipped into the "Regular area" where the music shifts to the regular abyss music and darkness instead of the blue glow. When I first went thru the skullbone I was kinda suprised by the visuals and at the same time overwhelmed with frustration.

cumbersome controls due to bad sprite position -bad draw distance and onscreen clutter -no in game reference for commands and no options -no z axis movement buttons that I can find(needed by any game of this type that uses depth and altitude as movement) There are improvements that can be beyond its issues as well, a HUD display with functions could alleviate some issue but in all the game is on the low end to anything else Ive played in a year It gets a 1 for function, a 4 for effort and a 2 for the game it turned out to be.So I got thru the game and was really enjoying it and had just made it to the Skalle part. No save option because of a checkpoint system, yeah thats on my list of bad and stupid game design choices because when a save gets corrupted, you must restart also it is ridiculous. I currently have it modded out for any game I play. The screen to sub point of view is over the right garbage, which was garbage in every game that ever used it. There are few options and no key mapping which I find to be a good reference for the controls when a game fails in this regard. Than something about a crew member needing to talk(tutorial) cant exit or resolve this after, just locked into the sub 2d mode then I quit. I figured there must be a trigger to continue or a way to drill out, something wasn't seeing it then lo I found some way forward (draw distance sucks). So I started in some kind of cavern, no exits and no big deal. I Yup, that's a 2 rating and after 20 minutes no less now let me iterate.
